We’re bringing back an old favorite with a #PPArchitecture2 Instagram challenge with guest judges @oliviermorisse and @urbanentdecker_ joining us this week!

Few things combine the beauty of art and the utilitarian needs as much as architecture. Directly influenced and inspired by the context of time, the stark contrasts and differences in architectural styles are visible across the globe. Whether it’s the remnants of an ancient city, or a metropolis where skyscrapers dominant the skyline, there is plenty to draw inspiration from.

From classical to modern, we want you to share your favorite architectural styles with us. Architecture is all around us, so look for geometric patterns, unexpected details, or anything else that catches your eye.

Follow the instructions below and check out the sample entry below for a chance to be featured on our Instagram feed as a winner or honorable mention:

Instructions:

  1. Post a photo/video that fits the theme of this week’s challenge and mention @passionpassport and #PPArchitecture2 in your caption (if in the comments, we may miss it)
  2. Submit as many entries as you like between Monday, June 13th and 11:59pm EST on Saturday, June 18th*
  3. Include a brief write-up (3-5 sentences) in your caption telling us how your entry relates to the theme and why it’s personally significant to you
  4. Entries will be evaluated by guest judges based on Quality of Photo, Quality of Caption, Creativity/Interpretation of the Theme, and Following Instructions. Stay tuned for the winner and honorable mentions to be announced Sunday, June 19th on our Instagram feed

*NOTE: Entries must be posted or reposted from a public account during the challenge period. You cannot simply ‘tag’ an older photo/video. Those posted from private accounts and/or posted outside of the challenge period will not be considered eligible.

After trekking 13 hours we reached El Chaltén just in time. I loved these little cabins when we started our hike in the morning and was happy to catch them at sunset on the way back. Lovely place to live right? That day we walked through impressive mountains and valleys, hiked on top of a glacier with crampons and climbed ice walls with the majestic view of Cerro Torre just in front of us. / @passionpassport #pparchitecture2
