Inspiration

Girls in Pink Robes Walking in Yangon, Myanmar

For @passionpassport‘s #PPTravelEncounters challenge // I was immediately drawn to the pink color of the robes these young girls were wearing amidst the bright, golden hues of the revered setting. The fact that they weren’t boys made me do a double-take, and I had to do a bit of extra research to learn that these girls were nuns in training. I love that this photo seems to capture the innocent laughter of childhood and the fact that it can be found anywhere in the world — even right in front of Myanmar’s most sacred Buddhist temple.
