Enter this week’s #PPStreetMoments Instagram Challenge for a chance to win $250 in cash to go towards new photography gear!
For many of us, our photography journey began exploring the streets of our local neighborhoods, neighboring cities, or while traveling to a new and exciting place with a camera in hand, photographing anything and everything interesting that caught our eye. And despite when you started or where you’re currently at in your photography journey, Street Photography is one of the most rewarding and exciting genres of photography and is rooted in a lot of the content we capture and share today.
With that in mind, this week’s #PPStreetMoments Instagram Challenge is focused on highlighting the everyday scenes—from street portraits to candid images, silhouettes, or facades, this week, we’re looking for beautifully composed images that tell a story from the streets.
To enter:
- Share a photo/video showcasing an interesting street photography moment between May 18, 2021, and May 28, 2021, 11:59 PM EST.
- Take us into the scene through a detailed caption describing what this particular moment means to you or why you love the art of Street Photography.
- Tag #PPStreetMoments and @passionpassport for a chance to win a cash prize of $250 to help fuel your photography process.
- *Adding the hashtag to existing posts won’t count for entry.* You must submit your posts during the challenge period to qualify.

But this year, it was one of the earliest blooms in 1,200 years! I’ve always loved the contrast between the cherry blossoms in full bloom against the yellow train that passes through this area. And as a result, I specifically chose this location to capture this moment in time. Before arriving, I made sure to check the train schedule to perfectly time the train and the early morning light. My breath was taken away after experiencing it. Here, I realized that being able to see the beauty of the cherry blossoms brings happiness to my life and that there is always immense beauty around us, everywhere, in our daily lives.
