From trekking by foot across Spain in Michael George’s “Portrait of a Pilgram in Le Puy” to biking over continents in Jedidiah Jenkins’s “Oregon to Patagonia, by Bike” to our very own Passport Express; we’re all about the long-haul journey.

So this week we’re bringing you our #PPOverland Instagram challenge! It’s all about pace and the “how you get there” over the “destination,” so we want you to share photos, videos, and memories of how you cover ground on the ground — anything from a road trip with friends to riding a camel across the desert.

We’re joined by guest judges @brandonexplores (who solo hiked the Pacific Crest Trail by foot), @ryannealcordwell (who recently drove around Iceland and the US), and @thebusandus (who is currently making their way from Alaska to Argentina by bus) who can’t wait to see your takes on the theme! Follow the guidelines below for a chance to be featured on our feed:

Instructions:

  1. Post a photo/video that fits this week’s challenge theme and mention @passionpassport and #PPOverland in your caption (if in the comments, we may miss it)*;
  2. Submit as many entries as you like between Tuesday, April 26th and 11:59am EST on Sunday, May 1st*;
  3. Include a brief write-up (3-5 sentences) in your caption telling us how your entry relates to the theme and why it’s personally significant to you; and
  4. Stay tuned for the winner and honorable mentions to be announced on Monday, May 2nd on our Instagram feed.*NOTE: Entries must be posted or reposted from a public account during the challenge period. You cannot simply ‘tag’ an older photo/video. Those posted from private accounts and/or posted outside of the challenge period will not be considered eligible.

Even in the moment of driving down the open stretches of Death Valley with Betty (our revived ambulance van) alongside coyotes, I knew this would be a lifetime memory. / @passionpassport #PPOverland
