Join our #PPNegativeSpace Instagram challenge this week! Sometimes less is more, and this can be applied to travel.
Leaving open space — in itinerary as well as in photos — makes the little you include that much more important. This lets you narrow in so there’s no doubt what the focus is…if there is a focus at all! We as well as guest judges @pat_kay and @israel_r can’t wait to see what you come up with….
- Post or re-post photos/videos according to your interpretation of the theme between Tuesday, May 8th and 11:59am EST on Sunday, May 13th*.
- Tag @passionpassport and #PPNegativeSpace in your caption (if in the comments, we may miss it).
- Take us into the moment with you by sharing 3-4 sentences about circumstances around the situation, your thoughts while capturing the scene, or anything travel-related.
- Check the sample below, get creative, and get going!
*NOTE: Entries must be posted or re-posted (i.e. you cannot simply ‘tag’ an older photo/video) from a public account during the challenge period. Those posted from private accounts and/or posted outside of the challenge period will NOT be considered eligible for feature.
We’ll announce the winner and honorable mentions Monday, May 14th on our Instagram feed based on Quality of Image, Quality of Caption, and Creativity/Interpretation of the Theme.
For @passionpassport‘s #PPNegativeSpace // The wind was choppy, scattering the sand into a smooth top layer. I noticed the shape of a shadow cast by a nearby dune and was attracted to the contrast. I walked to the middle of the peaks and captured this moment. Although I’ve been to the area time and time again, the landscape inspires me each time I go. The seemingly never-ending vastness of the dunes makes me appreciate how large the world is and how amazing nature is.
