Last week was all about flora, fauna, and the spirit of adventure. This week is all about people for our #PPMetOnMyTravels Instagram challenge! From kind strangers who gave you directions to friends you made while exploring, we want you to share stories of those you’ve come across on your travels — those who made your experiences abroad what they were.
We’re collaborating with guest judges @annapurnauna, @maxxetto, and @mattia_passarini, so head to their feeds for inspiration, and follow the instructions below for a chance to be featured on our Instagram feed:
- Post as many photos/videos relating to the theme as you like between Tuesday, January 10th and 11:59pm EST on Saturday, January 14th;
- Mention @passionpassport and #PPMetOnMyTravels in your caption (if in the comments, we may miss it);
- Include a brief write-up (3-5 sentences) in your caption telling us how your entry relates to the theme and any interesting backstory into the moment; and
- Stay tuned for the winner and honorable mentions to be announced Monday, January 16th on our Instagram feed based on guest judges’ scoring of Quality of Image, Quality of Caption, and Creativity/Interpretation of the Theme.
*NOTE: Entries must be posted or re-posted from a public account during the challenge period. You cannot simply ‘tag’ an older photo/video. Those posted from private accounts and/or posted outside of the challenge period will NOT be considered eligible.
Waiting outside to hear a renowned monk give a speech, the smells of incense, candles, and yak’s milk distracted me from the cold. One of the monks spotted me from far away amidst the 5,000+ audience and told me in Chinese, ‘Jinglai jinglai’ — ‘Come inside.’ I couldn’t refuse the offer. / @passionpassport #PPMetOnMyTravels
