April is Library Month, so we’re celebrating with a #PPLibrary challenge! What’s the first book you remember reading (or being read to you)? Literature can transport just as well — perhaps even better — than a plane, ship, or automobile. Share your stories!

Lending their eyes and knowledge are guest judges @cnlibrarian, @framboisejam, @israel_r, and our Founder @zachspassport; so check their feeds for inspiration.

Guidelines

  1. Post or re-post photos/videos according to your interpretation of the theme between Tuesday, April 10th and 11:59am EST on Sunday, April 15th*.
  2. Tag @passionpassport and #PPLibrary in your caption (if in the comments, we may miss it).
  3. Take us into the moment with you by sharing 3-4 sentences about your experience.
Check the sample below, get creative, and get going!

*NOTE: Entries must be posted or re-posted (i.e. you cannot simply ‘tag’ an older photo/video) from a public account during the challenge period. Those posted from private accounts and/or posted outside of the challenge period will NOT be considered eligible for feature.

We’ll announce the winner and honorable mentions Monday, April 16th on our Instagram feed based on Quality of Image, Quality of Caption, and Creativity/Interpretation of the Theme.

Inspiration

Woman Reading with Floor Reflection of Books at Stony Island in Chicago, Illinois

For @passionpassport‘s #PPLibrary challenge // It’s easier for me to use photography to express how I feel and think. I’ve always been more visually inclined. Walking into the library inside the Stony Island Arts Bank I felt inspired. The book covered walls and vivid reflection provided a pronounced sense of immersion. Creative people tend to overthink everything, but we should just let inspiration and imagination guide us.
