Sometimes arriving in a new place can feel like diving into freezing water or like your world’s flipped upside-down. First time abroad, first time journeying solo, first time in the city/country…part of traveling is immersing yourself in new, strange experiences, and this week’s challenge theme is #PPCultureShock!
Adventurers and guest judges @alejandro.photo, @demasrusli, @drewkelly, and @easternsuns; are all too familiar with feeling unfamiliar. Follow the steps below to join in the fun:
- Post or re-post photos/videos according to your interpretation of the theme between Tuesday, October 10th and 11:59am EST on Sunday, October 15th*;
- Tag @passionpassport and #PPCultureShock in your caption (if in the comments, we may miss it);
- Tell us a story with your caption — how you experienced it and what made it settle; and
- Check the sample below and get creative with your entries!
*NOTE: Entries must be posted or re-posted (i.e. you cannot simply ‘tag’ an older photo/video) from a public account during the challenge period. Those posted from private accounts and/or posted outside of the challenge period will NOT be considered eligible for feature.
We’ll announce the winner and honorable mentions Monday, October 16th on our Instagram feed based on the guest judges’ scoring of Quality of Image, Quality of Caption, and Creativity/Interpretation of the Theme.
The animals we’ve seen so far have been absolutely magnificent, so different yet living together so peacefully for the most part. Impala play with one another until a wildebeest joins in after chasing off a few monkeys from their sparing ground. I was simply speechless. // @passionpassport #PPCultureShock
