From boats to hippos to humans, this week’s Instagram challenge is about anything that can be #PPAfloat!

Water is central to travel, community, and life. Ancient civilizations were centered around bodies of water, and now this week’s theme is too! Share your stories with us as well as @captainmaji & @jackjeplant who are joining in as guest judges. We can’t wait to dive in to your entries!

Guidelines

  1. Post or re-post photos/videos according to your interpretation of the theme between Monday, March 4th and 11:59am EST on Sunday, March 10th*.
  2. Tag #PPAfloat in your caption (if in the comments, we may miss it).
  3. Take us into the moment with you in your caption by sharing 3-4 sentences.
  4. Check the sample below, get creative, and get going!

*NOTE: Entries must be posted or re-posted (i.e. you cannot simply ‘tag’ an older photo/video) from a public account during the challenge period. Those posted from private accounts and/or posted outside of the challenge period will NOT be considered eligible for feature.

We’ll announce the winner and honorable mentions Monday, March 11th on our Instagram feed based on Quality of ImageQuality of Caption, and Creativity/Interpretation of the Theme.

For @passionpassport‘s #PPAfloat challenge // Last year, I went to Lake Titicaca to visit the Uros, an Indigenous people of Peru. The Uros live on floating islands and rarely leave. There, I met a boy in his twenties who told me he had to swim to school when he was younger. I found their way of life beautiful, as well as their pride in their traditions. I hope to revisit one day.
