For this past week’s #PPWhatsInMyHand Instagram challenge, we asked you to show off anything – from Polaroids to souvenirs from your travels – by just holding it out in front of you. Hopping from Hong Kong to Toronto, we loved getting to share in your experiences through not just your eyes, but through your physical mementos.
Special thanks to our co-guest judges @hannahjesus, @jamesrelfdyer, and @quintner for their beautiful selections as well as to all who participated!
Congratulations to our honorable mentions (moving left to right, starting top-left): @johncfaust, @xphat, @jk211, @jenniferhulley, @sayhellotoamerica, @expitterpattica, @paulmelnk, @brendallin, and @halilhho!
Congratulations to our potential winner @earlgreytears who will receive a 16×16 inch canvas print along with some Passport Express swag! Taking us to Venice, her winning entry is below:
This was taken a couple moments after the canal claimed my glasses as its most recent victim. Blind and extremely irritated, I sulked as we walked past the vendors lining the street. Christine tried to cheer me up with Bellini (which helped a little), but I was upset that I’d be going this leg of the trip with impaired vision. We kept walking until we rounded a corner into this surprisingly deserted street. After strategically placing my friends on the bridge, I leaned freakishly far over the railing to snap the Polaroid. Every time I look at this photo I kind of laugh because it reminds me how blurry my world was that day and how wonderful my travel companions are.
