Venice was the first stop on our trip to Italy, in 2007. I wasn’t sure what to expect as we had gotten mixed reviews when we asked friends about their visits there. From the moment we arrived, I was enamored How could anyone not be? I had never (and still haven’t) seen any place like it. The best advice we got was to ‘get lost’ in the streets and waterways. That we did.
