This past week, many celebrated American Thanksgiving, both across the States and abroad. Getting in the reflective spirit, we asked you to share who and what you’re grateful for — anything from family, friends, and travel experiences — for our #PPGiveThanks Instagram challenge.
Congratulations to our challenge honorable mentions (moving left to right, starting top-left): @shelleypoppins, @rubenclavell, @el_fotomat, @goody2shus, @rachaelhyde , @srhlzbth_, @stephdraime, @makersworkshop, and @ninjanellephant.
Congratulations to our challenge potential winner @sahra_luke who will receive a 16×16 inch canvas print of her winning photo and whose challenge entry is below:
This was perhaps the last beautiful moment this year that has not been tinged by bittersweetness.
I had just scaled a thousand stone stairs in the dark before dawn; the sun’s rays crested the peaks of Peru’s sacred valley and warmed the ancient walls of Machu Picchu. Minutes later I learned that my dad had two weeks to live.
But I am grateful for the moments I had there and the moments I’ve had home and for the light that always comes. And I am grateful for every mountain I have climbed before and since because I know that weariness now gives strength for later.
For our answer, we’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our community who’s liked, commented, or entered a contest; you inspire us on a daily basis.
Stay tuned for our next Instagram challenge!
