The culture from the island of Ireland has spread across the world like few others. For a small island, it’s at the forefront of our imaginations for a variety of reasons. It’s the land of castles and bards and leprechauns, where four-leaf clovers abound and the person you sit next to at the pub may be the century’s next literary light. It’s given us modern marvels like the Titanic and Ulysses, and contains primordial wonders like Giant’s Causeway and the Cliffs of Moher. It’s a culture where stories are valued, and we want to hear the story of your connection with the island of Ireland.
Even if you haven’t been yet, chances are you don’t have to look very far to find a version of this culture in your hometown. Whether it’s family history or your local Irish pub, a favorite literary character or a four-leafed clover, we want to see what aspect the culture you appreciate the most.
This week, we are teaming up with @TourismIreland to give away a trip! The Grand Prize Winner* will choose their favorite travel companion and embark on a 2 person, 6 day trip to the island of Ireland, as well as receive a 16×16 inch canvas print of his or her winning photo.
