“Many visitors often visit Washington, DC in the spring to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom. They will probably see the many monuments and federal buildings that run our great country. As for me, I see these beautiful flowers as a symbol of the friendship between the U.S. and Japan. I see the cherry blossoms as an annual rebirth, when signs of life emerge after a long winter. I see hope.”
