This week, take a photo of a friend, a family member or a complete stranger and ask them/post to respond to the question: “Where is your favorite place you have traveled to? What was so special about it / why was it transformative?”

The following is an example using Italian travel blogger Francesca Di Pietro (@francydipi):

This is a shot of @francydipi on Inch Beach in Ireland. In her words: “My favorite place I traveled to is Bolivia. I went in with few expectations and I was impressed by the kindness of the people and the power of the natural settings. I also met one of my favorite companions ever!”

1) Post a photo that fits the theme #pptravelportrait. You may submit as many photos as you like.

2) Tag @passionpassport and #pptravelportrait in the first comment.

3) Include your subject’s answer to the question above (“Where is your favorite place you have traveled to? What was so special about it?”)

4) Submit your photo between Monday, October 7th and Saturday, October 14th at 11:59pm PST.
5) Nine honorable mentions and the prize winner will be announced on Sunday, October 13th.
