This week we asked you to explore the rooms, roofs, windows, doors, and front facades of residential buildings in this week’s PP Instagram Challenge #PPHousePortrait. We hope you felt as ‘at home’ taking these photos as we did looking at them! So thank you to all who participated with special thanks to our Guest Judges @billycress and @inayali.
Congratulations to this week’s honorable mentions (left to right, starting top-left): @caromorrow, @sofiatome, @twoworldtravellers, @_madickey_, @leahschmidt86, @hannahboeck, @jerricatan, @ipiripinapa, and @dolphin_whisperer.
Congratulations to this week’s first potential winner @ivyabee who will receive a 16×16 inch canvas print and whose photo and write-up are below:
Cheong Fatt Tze built many mansions (and had many wives) during his life, but it is the Blue Mansion in Penang that was his favorite — probably because this was where his seventh and ‘favorite wife’ lived. This was also the most elaborate and one of only two such mansions of its size outside China. The mansion had 38 rooms and 220 windows with a group of servants whose only assignment was to open and close all the windows each day.
