Known for its towering castles, majestic forests, iconic beer festivals, Germany is also a prime destination for fresh produce, delicious food, and fine wine. On May 17th, the Passion Passport team was able to celebrate the country’s long-standing legacy of culinary greatness and enjoy a taste of its springtime delicacy while overlooking the springtime splendor of New York City’s TriBeCa area.
The event centered around one of Germany’s most beloved dishes — Spargel, or white asparagus — as well as a variety of fine wine pairings from our friends at the German Wine Institute. Throughout the evening, we enjoyed the festivities, the food, and presentations about Germany’s gastronomic delights and touristic highlights.
But the best part of the evening was that we were joined by a host of creatives like you — everyone from food enthusiasts to photographers and travelers who all share a mutual appreciation for Germany’s unique delectable offerings.
At Passion Passport, we know that food is an integral part of travel — and sometimes, it can even be the sole motivator of a trip. In the spirit of culinary travel, and for the love of food exploration, we’ll be incorporating more gastronomically themed events, stories, and photos into our editorial and social platforms in the near future.
Keep an eye out, and let us know which dishes inspire your travels!
Auf Wiedersehen!
