“Cadiz City, Bacolod~ After my Mum, my Dad and I got the flu last Christmas in cold & wet Ireland, the plan this Christmas was to spend it with my family somewhere hot. My sister, who is currently travelling around the world, mentioned the Philippines and we were in! After the typhoon hit earlier this year my wife and I felt a little guilty just coming here and sitting on a beach for the entire time so we made contact with a charity and the first week of our trip had involved visits to rural schools, old folks homes, an orphanage, and a remote village outside Cadiz city. This is a picture of that village. We travelled with local college students to deliver clothing and good packages to those in need. Next week will be spent with my family and I can’t wait for that but this week has been an incredible experience and I’ve met some of the most wonderful people.”
