Nothing pulls you into a new country or culture quite like the aroma of an unfamiliar dish and the sensation of trying it for the first time. From coffee/tea shops to local delicacies to street-market vendors; food is often the fastest (and most delicious) way to immerse oneself into a new place. Take us on a culinary adventure for this week’s #PPFoodLove Instagram challenge!
We’re joined by guest judges (and foodies) @a_ontheroad, @insearchofperfect, and @lovewalkeatsee! Head to their mouth-watering feeds for inspiration, and follow the instructions below for a chance to be featured on our Instagram feed:
- Post as many photos/videos relating to the theme as you like between Tuesday, September 13th and 11:59pm EST on Saturday, September 17th;
- Mention @passionpassport and #PPFoodLove in your caption (if in the comments, we may miss it);
- Include a brief write-up (3-5 sentences) in your caption telling us how your entry relates to the theme and why it’s personally significant to you (again, if in the comments, we may miss it); and
- Stay tuned for the winner and honorable mentions to be announced Sunday, September 18th on our Instagram feed based on guest judges’ scoring of Quality of Image, Quality of Caption, and Creativity/Interpretation of the Theme.
*NOTE: Entries must be posted or re-posted from a public account during the challenge period. You cannot simply ‘tag’ an older photo/video. Those posted from private accounts and/or posted outside of the challenge period will NOT be considered eligible.
Nothing matches these sesame bagels (‘simit’ as we call them) paired with our world-famous red Turkish tea in a tulip-shaped glass. In a city so rich with stories, the vendor’s eyes seemed to say, “I’ve seen it all.” / @passionpassport #PPFoodLove
