Join us for this week’s #PPWindow Instagram challenge! They’re something we see everyday — full of personality and stories — that go taken for granted…and we want to change that.

Open or closed? Utilitarian or Ostentatious? Accompanied by a bench or bars? Windows come in all shapes and sizes as well as offer a unique lens with which to frame (see what we did there?) a place and its character. Whether it’s scrambling for the window seat on the plane or marveling from a new city’s tallest skyscraper, we want to see what windows have caught your eye along your travels.

We’re joined by guest judges @poetic_mouse and @thedennisli! Head to their feeds for inspiration, and follow the instructions below for a chance to be featured on our Instagram feed:

Instructions:

  1. Post as many photos/videos relating to the theme as you like between Monday, August 8th and 11:59pm EST on Saturday, August 13th;
  2. Mention #PPWindow and @passionpassport in your caption (if in the comments, we may miss it);
  3. Include a brief write-up (3-5 sentences) in your caption telling us how your entry relates to the theme and why it’s personally significant to you (again, if in the comments, we may miss it); and
  4. Stay tuned for the winner and honorable mentions to be announced Sunday, August 14th on our Instagram feed based on guest judges’ scoring of Quality of Image, Quality of Caption, and Creativity/Interpretation of the Theme.

*NOTE: Entries must be posted or re-posted from a public account during the challenge period. You cannot simply ‘tag’ an older photo/video. Those posted from private accounts and/or posted outside of the challenge period will NOT be considered eligible.

It was an hour before I needed to leave for the airport, and I was coming to terms with the fact that the giraffes did not feel like visiting that morning, when suddenly two came running up to the windows to join me for breakfast. My joy at my visitors helped the hour fly by as they let me feed, pet and even kiss them — one of the most unique experiences of my life. / @passionpassport #PPWindow
