Sometimes less is more. This is definitely the case for this week’s #PPMinimalist Instagram challenge!

We’re searching for landscapes, sky-scapes, and ocean-scapes with the most negative space possible. Look for empty space to emphasize your solitary subject matter. Guest judges @candida and @quietpoem who can’t wait to see your entries! Head to their feeds for inspiration, and follow the steps below to participate:

Guidelines:

  1. Post or re-post photos/videos according to your interpretation of the theme between Tuesday, September 5th and 11:59am EST on Sunday, September 10th;*
  2. Tag @passionpassport and #PPMinimalist in your caption (if in the comments, we may miss it);
  3. Tell us a story with your caption: Where were you? Who were you with? What about this moment caught your eye?; and
  4. Check the sample below and get creative with your entries!

*NOTE: Entries must be posted or re-posted (i.e. you cannot simply ‘tag’ an older photo/video) from a public account during the challenge period. Those posted from private accounts and/or posted outside of the challenge period will NOT be considered eligible for feature.

We’ll announce the winner and honorable mentions Monday, September 11th on our Instagram feed based on the guest judges’ scoring of Quality of ImageQuality of Caption, and Creativity/Interpretation of the Theme.
