You can almost hear the trumpet of the elephant. You can almost feel the sun’s heat pulsing even as it sets. Travel is all about opening yourself up to new experiences, and that involves all #PP5Senses! For this week’s theme, we’re challenging you to share moments that go beyond a striking sight to push the viewer to imagine the smell, sound, touch, and even taste of a capture.

Eruption and Smoke of Tungurahua Volcano, Ecuador

Tungurahua Volcano, Ecuador
By morning’s break I read the news that Tungurahua had become active again. We quickly made our way out of Quito, and as night fell began to see the sky illuminate. The volcanos energy caused both terror and admiration. With every explosion I could feel the ground beneath me tremble. The scene before my eyes resembled a frame from Dante’s Inferno. / @passionpassport #PP5Senses
